Physiotherapist

I graduated from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. After my graduation, I completed a Masters Degree in human kinetics and exercise education in the year 2000.

I moved to the UK in 2000 with my family where I continued my career as a physiotherapist. I completed my second Masters degrees in public health focusing on preventative Public Health Programs for seniors within the community .

Although, I worked in orthopedic, respiratory, neurology and medical wards of Ashton, Wigan and Leigh NHS Trust and other hospitals in the north west of England, my focus of practice was in Neurology especially stroke rehabilitation. I gained valuable experience in working with stroke patients at acute, In patient and Community setting.

While working in this hospital, I developed an interest in working with seniors who have orthopedic and neurological conditions. This led me to take a physiotherapy position in the community treating elderly people in their homes, residential care, and nursing facilities.

I moved to Canada with my family and continue my practice working with older adults. Having enjoyed the quality one-on-one care provided to this clientele, I continued working in Private home health, residential and nursing facilities.

I have certification in Acupuncture, Pelvic Health, Vestibular Therapy and years of experience in Stroke Rehabilitation.

Providing quality therapeutic treatment tailored to each clients needs, with the main objective of improving their overall quality of life, is rewarding and fulfilling for her.

Outside of work, I am involved in charity work volunteering my time to work with the homeless population through my local church. I also love to read and spend time with my family.
